This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 MLS Golden Boot. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLS rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLS season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026 ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Soccer; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Lionel Messi's combination of elite finishing, playmaking vision, and Inter Miami's high-possession attack underpins his 48.6% implied probability as the 2026 MLS Golden Boot leader, especially after his post-World Cup return where he posted double-digit goals and contributions in limited appearances. Petar Musa (22.6%) has surged via consistent output for FC Dallas, including multiple hat tricks and 13 goals in 16 games, while Hugo Cuypers and Nicolás Fernández share the actual scoring lead at 13 goals apiece for Chicago and New York City FC. Other contenders such as Sam Surridge, Kévin Denkey, and Anders Dreyer sit in the 12–19% range due to strong recent form and favorable team setups, though the race remains fluid with roughly half the regular season remaining and potential for late surges or injuries to alter trajectories.
