The early weeks of the 2026 Big 12 season have left the rushing touchdowns race wide open, with a deep group of returning and transferred backs sharing carries across multiple offenses. Standouts from 2025 such as BYU’s LJ Martin, Texas Tech’s Cameron Dickey, Utah’s Wayshawn Parker, and Oklahoma State’s Caleb Hawkins headline preseason expectations, yet no single player has separated in the first two games. Parker has already notched multiple scores, while balanced backfields at programs like West Virginia, TCU, and Kansas State feature additional contenders including Cam Cook, Jeremy Payne, and Dawson Pendergrass. Shared workloads, tough conference defenses, and limited sample sizes have kept implied probabilities clustered, reflecting broad trader consensus on the competitive depth rather than any clear frontrunner.
