The 2026 Big 12 rushing yards race remains tightly bunched because only two weeks of conference play have elapsed, leaving most candidates with minimal statistical separation after limited opportunities. Returning standouts such as BYU’s LJ Martin, Utah’s Wayshawn Parker, Texas Tech’s Cameron Dickey, and transfers including Oklahoma State’s Caleb Hawkins and West Virginia’s Cam Cook each enter with proven workloads from 2025, while depth across programs like Cincinnati, Houston, and Kansas State has produced strong early team rushing outputs without any single back dominating touches. Schedule strength, committee backfields, and injury or rotation risks further dilute separation, keeping implied probabilities clustered as traders await clearer trends from upcoming conference matchups.
