Both the Carolina Panthers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers enter the 2026 season as projected 7- to 9-win teams in the NFL's weakest division, where last year's 8-9 Panthers claimed the NFC South via tiebreaker over the Buccaneers. Bryce Young's continued development and Carolina's defensive additions contrast with Baker Mayfield's experience and Tampa Bay's revamped front seven, but both clubs face challenging schedules that limit separation. With the teams scheduled to meet in Week 7 and again in Week 12, traders see a split as the likeliest outcome at 48 percent implied probability, reflecting the parity and absence of decisive edges in roster health or recent form that would tilt the season series.
