The Saints-Buccaneers season series carries elevated tie probability in trader consensus because both NFC South clubs project as comparably competitive in a weak division, with late-December and Week 18 matchups leaving ample room for roster shifts or momentum swings to produce a split. New Orleans enters with momentum from Tyler Shough’s strong rookie finish and Week 2 rally past the Ravens, bolstered by additions like Travis Etienne and continued development under Kellen Moore. Tampa Bay, meanwhile, sits at 0-2 after narrow losses, facing questions around Baker Mayfield’s contract status, Vita Vea’s hold-in, and the absence of longtime receiver Mike Evans. Official injury reports and divisional head-to-head trends reinforce the balanced outlook, keeping a decisive series outcome less favored than a 1-1 result.
