Kylian Mbappé leads the market at 27% as traders weigh his proven World Cup pedigree—including eight goals across the 2022 edition—and strong club output at Real Madrid, though recent international warm-ups have drawn scrutiny over finishing efficiency. Harry Kane sits at 20.5% on the back of a record 61-goal club season with Bayern Munich that showcased elite link-up play and penalty reliability, while Lamine Yamal’s 19.5% reflects his rapid emergence as a creative force with Barcelona and Spain, delivering consistent goal contributions in high-stakes matches. The bunched pricing among the top trio stems from comparable paths to deep tournament runs for France, England, and Spain, plus the expanded 48-team format creating more scoring opportunities; deeper contenders like Lautaro Martínez and Erling Haaland trail due to tougher group-stage paths and fewer recent international contributions. Early group-stage results, including Folarin Balogun’s brace for the co-hosts, have not materially shifted consensus ahead of heavier knockout fixtures.

For the purpose of this market, a goal contribution is defined exclusively as the number of combined goals and assists a player has recorded.
In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official leader as determined by FIFA World Cup rules. If multiple leaders are announced then this market will resolve to the player who scored more goals during the 2026 FIFA World Cup. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve in favor of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically.
If the 2026 FIFA World Cup competition is cancelled, postponed after August 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no official leader declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
