South Korea stunned world No. 1 China 3-1 in group stage play earlier this week, showcasing Jang Woojin's topspin prowess, but suffered a 1-3 upset loss to Chinese Taipei, exposing vulnerabilities in closing sets. Austria rebounded with a decisive 3-0 Round of 32 rout of India on May 4, leveraging Robert Gardos' veteran consistency and Andreas Levenko's upset potential, despite a prior 0-3 defeat to Korea DPR. Lineup confirmations or last-minute player withdrawals ahead of the May 6 clash could sway odds, as could head-to-head stylistic edges in forehand loops and defensive play.
