Balaji and Demoliner, by contrast, exited their most recent clay event in Cagliari after a competitive loss, reflecting inconsistent results on the surface this spring. Both teams bring solid doubles experience and serve-volley tendencies suited to the slower European clay, yet Gille/Verbeek’s higher activity level and head-to-head edge in recent challenger play give them a slight edge in form and freshness heading into the match.
