Sutjiadi and Tjen advanced to face Maleckova and Skoch after defeating Li and Valentova in the opening round of the 2026 Lexus Nottingham Open doubles on grass. The Indonesian pairing brings consistent recent results across WTA events, including strong showings on varied surfaces, while the Czech duo enters on a high after capturing the Rouen doubles title and reaching the Linz final in the weeks prior. Both teams feature experienced players comfortable with net play and quick exchanges typical of grass-court doubles, where serve-volley tactics and return positioning often decide tight matches. The encounter pits Sutjiadi/Tjen’s established partnership chemistry against Maleckova/Skoch’s current momentum and recent title-winning form in European events.
