Vincent Keymer has emerged as the clear frontrunner in the ongoing 2026 Super Chess Classic Romania round-robin, holding the top spot on the leaderboard after strong results in the opening rounds and capitalizing on his recent Grenke Freestyle Open victory. The German grandmaster’s consistent classical form and head-to-head edge over several rivals have driven trader consensus toward his 39 percent implied probability. Anish Giri’s late win over Alireza Firouzja in round three tightened the five-way tie at the top, boosting his own chances while underscoring how quickly results can shift in a 10-player field. Praggnanandhaa Rameshbabu and Jorden van Foreest remain competitive threats through solid recent performances, though the tightly bunched standings mean any upset or key matchup in the remaining rounds could reshape the probabilities before the May 23 conclusion.
