Gerwyn Price enters the New Zealand Darts Masters matchup against Mark Cleaver as the clear favorite, backed by his status as a multiple-time major champion and consistent 2026 form that includes high-90s to 100-plus tournament averages, Players Championship titles, and a strong Premier League record. The Welshman has prior deep runs at this event and benefits from superior PDC experience, scoring power, and finishing under pressure. Cleaver, a New Zealand WDF-ranked player around the top 100 with limited televised success and no prior World Series wins, faces a steep stylistic and level-of-competition gap in his home event. Trader consensus at 84% reflects these established gaps in ranking, recent scoring output, and head-to-head context rather than any injury concerns or late changes.
