Canada's star-studded roster, headlined by Sidney Crosby and young captain Macklin Celebrini alongside established NHL talent, has driven the strongest trader consensus for the 2026 IIHF World Championship title at 50.5% implied probability. Recent roster finalizations and pre-tournament tune-ups underscore Canada's depth and experience in international play. Finland and host Switzerland sit close behind at 15.5% and 15.0%, reflecting their strong recent form, balanced lineups, and home-ice edge for the Swiss in Zurich and Fribourg. The United States, the 2025 defending champion, trails at 6.5% amid a roster thinned by ongoing NHL playoffs, while Sweden and Czechia hold modest shares based on consistent group-stage positioning and historical medal contention.
