Samsung Lions hold a clear edge in this KBO matchup, sitting at 23-16-1 with a .590 winning percentage and a team ERA near 4.0 compared to Kia Tigers’ 20-20-1 mark and 4.55 ERA. The Lions’ balanced attack, featuring stronger run prevention and a .270 team batting average, benefits from home-field conditions at Daegu Samsung Lions Park under hot, hitter-friendly weather. Kia’s power surge—leading the league with 45 home runs—has fueled a recent three-game win streak, yet their inconsistent mound work, including a starter posting a 9.00 ERA, creates vulnerability against Samsung’s more reliable rotation. Traders price Samsung at 69.5% implied probability based on these sustained advantages in standings, pitching depth, and home performance.
