This market will resolve to the player who wins the 2026 MLS Golden Boot. In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official winner as determined by MLS rules. If multiple winners are announced then this market will resolve to the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically. If the 2026 MLS season is cancelled, postponed after December 31, 2026 ET, or there is otherwise no winner declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”. The resolution source for this market will be official information from Major League Soccer; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Lionel Messi's position as the clear market leader stems from his status as the 2025 Golden Boot winner, elite finishing efficiency, and Inter Miami's attacking setup, where he has posted 12 goals and 8 assists in limited 2026 appearances despite a midseason World Cup pause. Traders price in his proven ability to accelerate scoring rates over the remaining regular-season schedule. Petar Musa sits second after a clinical start with 13 goals in 16 matches for FC Dallas, while Hugo Cuypers and Nicolás Fernández share the league lead at 13 goals; Sam Surridge, Denis Bouanga, and others trail due to lower volume or less consistent recent form. The spread reflects Messi's historical dominance and minutes-managed workload versus the steadier but lower-ceiling outputs from the chasing pack.
