This market will resolve according to the coach who wins the 2026 AP Coach of the Year Award, currently scheduled to be announced on January 27, 2027. If the award is not presented, is canceled, or a winner has not been announced by February 10, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, this market will resolve to "Other." If multiple coaches are named co-winners, this market will resolve in favor of the coach whose listed name comes first alphabetically. The resolution source for this market will be official information from AP; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The NCAA Football Coach of the Year market remains tightly bunched early in the 2026 preseason because expectations hinge on unproven regular-season results across multiple Power conference programs. ESPN's July rankings place Curt Cignetti, Kirby Smart, Ryan Day, Marcus Freeman, Dan Lanning, Steve Sarkisian, and Lane Kiffin among the top candidates, while the Dodd Trophy preseason watch list includes Mario Cristobal, Kalen DeBoer, and others, spreading implied probabilities across a deep field. Roster continuity, spring practice momentum, and schedule strength create comparable upside for each without any coach holding a decisive edge yet. Trader consensus therefore clusters most listed names near even money or lower, underscoring how quickly standings, conference title games, and late-season surges can reshape the outcome once games begin.
