Thomas Tuchel’s post-World Cup position, after England’s semi-final exit to Argentina and contract extension through Euro 2028, has triggered speculation over potential successors despite FA backing. This keeps the field wide open, with no dominant candidate emerging from recent Premier League or international form. Graham Potter leads at 31.7% amid his Sweden role and prior English experience, while John Terry sits at 17.5% on name recognition. Eddie Howe (14.0%), Lee Carsley (13.5%), and Antonio Conte (13.5%) cluster closely behind, reflecting trader views on domestic options and tactical fit. Lower probabilities for Pep Guardiola, Gareth Southgate, and others underscore the fragmented consensus, as multiple profiles remain viable depending on timing and performance factors.
