Arsenal enter the 2026-27 Premier League as defending champions with the strongest continuity under Mikel Arteta, bolstered by squad depth in midfield and defense that supported their 2025-26 title win. Manchester City lead the early table under new manager Enzo Maresca following Pep Guardiola’s departure, supported by major signings including Elliot Anderson. Liverpool and Chelsea also feature new head coaches in Andoni Iraola and Xabi Alonso, respectively, while Manchester United aim to build on last season’s third-place finish under Michael Carrick amid Champions League commitments. Heavy summer spending, particularly by Chelsea and Tottenham, significant player movements, and the closing transfer window introduce roster uncertainty that could reshape the battle for the top four spots through the autumn schedule.
