Sweden enters the IIHF World Championship matchup with a clear roster advantage, featuring eleven NHL players including Lucas Raymond, Oliver Ekman-Larsson, and Mattias Ekholm alongside emerging prospects. Slovenia fields only one NHL draftee and relies mainly on domestic and European league talent, limiting its depth and scoring threat. Sweden’s recent bronze-medal finish and consistent group-stage strength further highlight the mismatch, though the squad lacks some of its usual top-end stars. No significant injuries or lineup changes have emerged for either side in the days leading up to the game. The resulting trader consensus reflects these structural gaps in experience and talent.
