Valve's April 2026 update reworked and added Cache to CS2's Competitive, Casual, Deathmatch, and Retakes modes, generating strong community momentum toward full Active Duty inclusion. The map remains outside the official Premier and professional pool pending post-IEM Cologne Major adjustments, with analysts noting Valve's pattern of aligning map pool changes to new seasons. Recent pro feedback, including calls for Cache to replace Inferno, plus positive early impressions on updated visuals and layout tweaks, has reinforced expectations for a late-July rollout alongside Premier Season 5. Traders are weighing this timeline against Valve's history of deliberate pacing on map rotations and the need to balance the current pool of Ancient, Anubis, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, and Overpass.
