Toronto KOI enters the best-of-five against Cloud9 New York with recent momentum after sweeping C9 3-0 in Minor II on June 5, though both squads sit at 0-2 in the Stage 4 Major Qualifiers following Toronto’s losses to Carolina Royal Ravens and Boston Breach. C9 New York continues to integrate a rebuilt roster of Encourage, Hide, Nejra, and Wevy after mid-season roster turnover that included dropping rookie Okis, while Toronto KOI stabilized with the addition of Abe alongside CleanX, Insight, and Kips. Head-to-head history favors Toronto in recent encounters, but the qualifier format and map pool dynamics, including Search & Destroy on Colossus, leave room for variance in a single-elimination-style series.
