Kichenok and Ninomiya bring substantial doubles experience and strong recent form into their first-round clash against Karamoko and Marcinko at the clay-court Grand Prix SAR La Princesse Lalla Meryem. The Ukrainian-Japanese pairing has compiled consistent results across WTA events this season, leveraging Kichenok’s net skills and tactical acumen on slower surfaces where rallies extend and positioning matters most. Marcinko, coming off a singles loss in Rome, pairs with the lower-ranked Karamoko for this event, giving the underdogs limited combined match play on clay. Head-to-head history favors the favorites, though any late withdrawals or surface-specific adjustments could shift momentum in the opener.
