Multiple recent releases and catalog tracks are trading near even odds for the #2 global Spotify spot the week of August 14, reflecting tight weekly streaming races behind frontrunner Dai Dai. Ariana Grande’s “hate that i made you love me” and “petal” benefit from sustained fan streams and playlist rotation, while Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings” shows daily gains in U.S. and global data. Older tracks like Beauty and a Beat and Billie Jean rely on nostalgia spikes, and BTS’s SWIM draws from dedicated international audiences. Key swing factors include midweek playlist adds, social virality, and any late promotional pushes, with the final tally hinging on precise daily stream differentials that can shift rapidly before the chart locks.
