The tightly bunched probabilities for Ligue 1's 2026-27 runner-up reflect a wide-open chase behind PSG, with no single club holding decisive edges in squad depth or recent form heading into the August 21 kickoff. Lens enter as the consensus frontrunner among challengers after finishing second and lifting the Coupe de France in 2025-26, though the departure of key staff introduces some uncertainty. Lille, Brest, Toulouse, and others benefit from targeted summer reinforcements and stable mid-table or European-contending records, while Marseille, Monaco, and Lyon carry historical pedigree but face consistency questions. This competitive parity, combined with the open transfer window until September 1, sustains the even distribution of implied probabilities across the field.

If at any point it becomes impossible for a listed participant to finish as runner-up of Ligue 1 for the 2026-27 season per the rules of Ligue 1 (e.g., the participant is eliminated), the corresponding market will resolve to "No".
If multiple teams are declared as second-place finishers, this market will resolve in favor of the team whose listed name comes first alphabetically.
If this event is cancelled, postponed after July 31, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or a runner-up has not been declared within this timeframe, this market will resolve to "Other".
The resolution source will be official information from the Ligue 1; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
