Bangladesh's commanding 104-run victory in the first Test at Mirpur, powered by Nahid Rana's five-wicket haul and a strong first-innings total of 413, has given the hosts a 1-0 series lead heading into the second Test at Sylhet. Pakistan, however, retains a narrow edge in trader sentiment for winning the series overall, reflecting their deeper squad resources, recent captaincy tweaks including potential returns for experienced players, and a proven ability to bounce back in red-ball cricket despite recent losses to Bangladesh. The draw remains a live outcome given Sylhet's typically balanced pitches and the possibility of weather interruptions in the ongoing monsoon season, while Bangladesh's home momentum and improved red-ball form keep their outright series win probability in play but lower.
