St. Louis sits at 36-28 and second in the NL Central, showing improved offensive output and pitching depth in recent series. The New York Mets, meanwhile, stand at 29-37 after dropping their seventh shutout loss of the season and continue to manage multiple absences, including shortstop Francisco Lindor and first baseman Jorge Polanco on the injured list. Home-field advantage offers the Mets some offset, but their recent offensive struggles against quality starters create a challenging environment for reversing momentum in this interleague series.
