The 2026 SEC rushing touchdowns race remains tightly bunched because multiple programs feature proven or high-upside backs with comparable paths to goal-line volume. Returning standouts such as Kewan Lacy (Ole Miss), who posted 24 scores in 2025, Jadan Baugh (Florida), DeSean Bishop (Tennessee), and Ahmad Hardy (Missouri) enter with strong prior production, yet Hardy’s ongoing recovery from a spring gunshot wound and shifting depth charts at Texas, LSU, and Georgia have kept expectations distributed. Early 2026 results show scattered scoring from several names without any back separating dramatically, while portal additions and new offensive schemes add further uncertainty. Trader consensus reflects this balance of talent, situational factors, and limited sample size through the opening weeks.
