The tightly bunched probabilities around 25% for numerous quarterbacks reflect the extreme week-to-week variance in NFL interceptions, where single-game totals hinge on factors like pass-rush pressure, offensive-line breakdowns, aggressive downfield attempts, and defensive coverage schemes rather than season-long trends. With Week 2 matchups featuring a mix of established starters such as Josh Allen, Geno Smith, Lamar Jackson, and Justin Herbert alongside backups and developmental options like Malik Willis, Tommy DeVito, and rookies, the field remains wide open. Recent roster moves and injury reports have elevated several names into potential high-volume or high-risk situations, preventing any single signal-caller from separating in trader consensus. Historical data shows interceptions often cluster among multiple passers in early-season games due to rust, weather variables, and schematic adjustments.
