Sweden and Czechia enter their IIHF World Championship matchup as evenly matched Group B contenders, with both sides showing strong recent form that supports the 50% implied probability for a Sweden win. The Czechs earned a narrow 2-1 group-stage victory earlier in the tournament, capitalizing on timely scoring and solid defensive structure, yet Sweden rebounded impressively with dominant wins over Denmark and Canada that restored momentum and highlighted improved puck possession. Head-to-head history favors tight contests, while roster depth, goaltending stability, and special-teams efficiency create parity. Late roster adjustments or power-play execution could shift momentum either way in what promises to be a low-margin game.
