Safe Superintelligence Inc. (SSI), founded by Ilya Sutskever in 2024, maintains its policy of releasing no public large language models, APIs, papers, or demos until achieving safe superintelligence, with zero artifacts shipped in its first 25 months. The July 27, 2026, NVIDIA partnership—including a multi-billion-dollar investment and order-of-magnitude increase in Vera Rubin compute—serves as the main driver of trader sentiment by signaling that internal research has reached a scalable stage, per Sutskever’s comments. This has fueled speculation, including investor Gavin Baker’s August 2026 release prediction, amid SSI’s otherwise total secrecy and “straight-shot” focus distinct from scaling-era approaches at peers like OpenAI. Key upcoming catalysts include any post-August announcements or further compute milestones that could shift the implied probability of an early public model.

A qualifying model must be an AI model released by SSI or associated with SSI and confirmed as such by SSI or by a consensus of credible reporting.
For this market to resolve to "Yes," a qualifying model must be launched and publicly accessible, including via open beta or open rolling waitlist signups. A closed beta or any form of private access will not suffice.
The release must be either clearly defined and publicly announced by SSI as being accessible to the general public or otherwise made publicly accessible and explicitly labeled within the company’s official website. Labeling errors, placeholder text, or version names displayed on the website that do not correspond to a model that is actually accessible to the general public will not qualify.
The primary resolution source for this market will be official information from SSI; however, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used.
