Mercedes teammates Kimi Antonelli and George Russell top the early 2026 driver standings after the opening grands prix, with Antonelli extending a points lead through three straight victories including the Miami race while Russell holds strong pace but trails in recent results. This intra-team battle, fueled by Mercedes' competitive car and their head-to-head qualifying and race form, keeps implied probabilities tightly contested as traders weigh Antonelli's momentum against Russell's experience and consistency. Other contenders like Lando Norris trail further back amid McLaren's mixed pace, leaving the title race open to shifts from upcoming grands prix, tire strategy variables, and any mechanical or reliability issues.
