Jannik Sinner holds the strongest position among 2026 French Open contenders after two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz withdrew from the clay-court major with a right wrist injury sustained earlier in the spring. The world No. 1 has extended his dominance through the current clay swing, securing multiple Masters titles and entering Roland Garros with the form and experience needed to pursue a career Grand Slam. Alexander Zverev and Novak Djokovic sit well behind as the next most backed options, reflecting their proven clay records and recent head-to-head results, while emerging talents such as Rafael Jodar and Arthur Fils trail further due to limited prior success at this level. The tournament draw begins in one week, with Sinner’s consistent baseline power and movement on slow surfaces anchoring trader consensus around his leading implied probability.
