Lukáš Hájek leads trader consensus at 54.5% as the Starostové pro Liberecký kraj candidate succeeding incumbent mayor Jaroslav Zámečník, who is not seeking re-election after eight years of SLK-led stability in Liberec. Municipal elections scheduled for October 9-10, 2026, will determine the new council that selects the mayor, favoring the incumbent grouping's continuity on priorities such as schools, transport, and urban development. Fragmented opposition, including new coalitions like Libe! led by Tibor Batthyány and other listed contenders, maintains tight probabilities around 50% or lower by diluting any single alternative. Coalition negotiations post-election and voter turnout in key districts remain the main variables that could shift implied probabilities before resolution.
