This market will resolve to "Yes" if the listed country officially recognizes Israel as a state between market creation and December 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET. Otherwise, this market will resolve to “No”. An announcement of intentions will not suffice to resolve this market to "Yes." Only a government's formal recognition of the State of Israel will count toward a “Yes” resolution for this market. The primary resolution source for this market will be official government information. However, a consensus of credible reporting will also be used. Most countries already recognize Israel, with 169 of 192 UN members doing so as of early 2026. Recent diplomatic activity has centered on additional recognitions of Palestinian statehood by several Western nations in September 2025, alongside multilateral conferences and statements reinforcing the two-state solution. Expansion of the Abraham Accords remains a focus for the U.S. administration, yet potential new ties face linkage to Palestinian statehood progress, with non-recognizing states citing that precondition. Scheduled events through year-end, including UN sessions and bilateral summits, could influence any late shifts in diplomatic posture before the December 31 resolution window.
