The Washington Nationals enter their series against the San Francisco Giants with a 35-33 record, third in the NL East, and a strong 23-13 road mark fueled by MLB-leading first-inning production. They recently took a 6-3 road win behind Luis García Jr.’s two-run homer and effective bullpen work that limited Giants scoring chances. San Francisco sits at 27-41, fourth in the NL West, mired in a five-game home losing streak while dealing with day-to-day absences for outfielders Heliot Ramos and Harrison Bader plus starter Tyler Mahle on the injured list. Both clubs carry recent 5-5 or better form over their last ten games, with the Giants’ home struggles and the Nationals’ road momentum shaping the matchup dynamics ahead of the next contest at Oracle Park.
