The upcoming October 9-10, 2026, Czech municipal elections in Brno will determine the next mayor through city council negotiations rather than direct popular vote, sustaining tight probabilities among frontrunners. Kamila Zlatušková leads at roughly 49.5% as the fresh ODS-TOP 09 coalition candidate replacing the retiring incumbent, drawing on her media background and party infrastructure. Jakub Hruška follows at 26.5% on the KDU-ČSL-STAN ticket, leveraging his record as a district mayor and emphasis on local governance and transport. Václav Trojan of ANO holds 18% with priorities on security and infrastructure, while smaller shares for other listed contenders reflect fragmented voter blocs and the potential for post-election alliances. Recent coalition formations and candidate announcements have kept the field balanced, with outcomes likely hinging on final turnout, debate impacts, and bargaining dynamics among parties.
