Damon Heta enters the New Zealand Darts Masters opener as the clear favorite against local qualifier Ben Robb, with his PDC ranking around 20-21, multiple titles, and consistent ProTour results underpinning trader consensus. Heta has shown strong recent form including a Players Championship final appearance and solid averages, while Robb’s experience remains limited to WDF events and occasional PDC first-round exits with lower scoring output. The matchup favors Heta’s experience and finishing under pressure despite any home-crowd boost for Robb in Auckland, aligning with the 78% implied probability reflecting the substantial gap in professional pedigree and recent competitive level.
