Trader consensus prices five teams—Mallorca, Rayo Vallecano, Espanyol, Deportivo Alavés, and Levante—at 49.5% implied probability to claim 17th place and avoid relegation, underscoring the razor-thin La Liga table margins after matchday 36, where 39-43 points separate 11th from 19th. Alavés' stunning 1-0 upset over champions Barcelona on May 13 propelled them to 15th on 40 points (36 played), escaping the drop zone temporarily, while Levante's gritty 3-2 road win at Celta Vigo on May 12 held them at 39 points (36 played). Close challengers like Elche, Girona (39 points, game in hand), Valencia, and Osasuna lurk within striking distance, with head-to-head fixtures and rest advantages poised to decide survival amid pervasive draws keeping the race deadlocked.

If at any point it becomes impossible for the listed team to finish 17th in the 2025-26 LALIGA (e.g. they mathematically cannot finish in 17th), the associated market will resolve to "No".
If the 2025-2026 LALIGA season is cancelled, postponed after May 31, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is otherwise no 17th place team declared within that timeframe, this market will resolve to “Other”.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from the LALIGA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
