Friday’s probable starters, Tatsuya Imai (3-3, 5.24 ERA) against Luinder Avila (1-2, 4.02 ERA), set a matchup where command and strikeout rates will likely dictate early scoring chances. Houston’s road form and veteran lineup depth contrast with Kansas City’s home advantage and recent infield execution, including double-steal plays. Injury management in both rotations and any late scratches remain key variables, while typical June weather in Kansas City could influence fly-ball tendencies. Trader consensus will hinge on updated lineups and bullpen availability closer to first pitch.
