**C.J. Stroud and Mac Jones sit neck-and-neck near 49% in the market for the 2026-27 NFL Week 2 passing yards leader, reflecting tight trader consensus on their combination of starting roles, offensive schemes, and Week 1 momentum amid broad uncertainty across the field.** Stroud opened with 274 yards and two touchdowns for the Texans against Buffalo before facing a Bengals defense that has historically allowed significant aerial production, while Jones—operating in Kyle Shanahan’s efficient 49ers system as Brock Purdy’s primary backup—benefits from continuity and the potential for elevated volume if circumstances shift. The narrow gap between them underscores how early-season variables like defensive matchups, injury contingencies, and passing volume can produce similar implied probabilities for multiple quarterbacks, even as lower-priced options such as Drake Maye, Bo Nix, and established starters trail well behind. This distribution captures the inherent week-to-week volatility in single-game passing yardage outcomes.
