The tight bunching of probabilities near 35% across dozens of wide receivers and tight ends reflects the high variance inherent in a single NFL week, where target volume, game script, and defensive coverage create unpredictable outcomes. Multiple players posted 140-plus receiving yards in Week 2, led by Jaxon Smith-Njigba, CeeDee Lamb, Amon-Ra St. Brown, Dalton Schultz, and Jaylen Waddle, while others like DeVonta Smith and Tre Tucker also cleared 115 amid favorable matchups or expanded roles. Roster injuries, quarterback changes, and shifting usage patterns further distributed production, preventing any dominant consensus favorite and underscoring how situational factors can elevate under-the-radar options in any given slate.
