France leads the nation-of-top-goalscorer market at 24.5% implied probability primarily due to Kylian Mbappé’s proven Golden Boot pedigree from 2022, his status as France’s primary attacking threat, and Les Bleus’ deep tournament path that maximizes scoring opportunities. Spain and England sit close behind at 15.5% and 15.0%, reflecting Mikel Oyarzabal and Lamine Yamal’s contributions alongside Spain’s balanced attack, plus Harry Kane’s club-season output exceeding 60 goals and his prior Golden Boot win. Norway’s 8.5% rests on Erling Haaland’s elite finishing despite limited team depth, while Brazil and Argentina trail on star power from Vinícius Júnior and Lionel Messi offset by broader attacking options that dilute individual tallies. Recent group-stage results, including early goals from U.S. players, have introduced minor shifts but left the top contenders largely stable.

In the event of a tie, this market will resolve according to the official leader as determined by FIFA rules. If multiple leaders are announced then this market will resolve to the nation represented by the player who scored fewer goals from penalty kicks. If a tie still persists, this market will resolve to the nationality of the player whose listed last name comes first alphabetically.
If the 2026 FIFA World Cup is cancelled, postponed after August 2, 2026, 11:59 PM ET, or there is no leader declared within that timeframe, the corresponding market will resolve to “Other”.
The resolution source for this market will be official information from FIFA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.
