The Ukrainian-Japanese pairing captured WTA titles in Prague and Hamburg last year while reaching multiple finals together, and Ninomiya previously won the Rabat doubles crown in 2022. Their combined ranking and proven chemistry contrast with Karamoko and Marcinko, a newer partnership featuring the Swiss player’s ITF-level background and the young Croatian’s limited senior doubles exposure. Clay-court movement and serve-volley patterns should further favor the more seasoned duo, though first-round WTA 250 matches can produce upsets when unforced errors rise under tournament pressure.
