Both players enter this M15 Tianjin hard-court first-round matchup ranked near 936, with limited recent ATP-level exposure. Haliak, the more experienced 27-year-old Belarusian and former top-400 player, brings greater professional match volume and a higher career peak than the 20-year-old Sarksian. Recent form for both centers on lower-tier ITF events in China and elsewhere, where results have been mixed and neither has posted dominant streaks. Surface familiarity favors neither decisively on outdoor hard, while Haliak’s age and accumulated ITF wins provide a modest edge reflected in trader pricing. The evenly matched profiles and low overall rankings keep implied probabilities relatively close, with any late withdrawal or fatigue factor from travel able to shift sentiment quickly.
