Recent streaming data shows a tight race for the #2 U.S. Spotify spot heading into the August 21 chart, with Steve Lacy’s “oh yeah?,” Tame Impala’s “Loser,” Malcolm Todd’s “Earrings,” and Olivia Rodrigo’s “stupid song” trading momentum based on daily gains and fan-driven plays. Ella Langley’s “Choosin’ Texas” holds a firm lead at #1, leaving the second position open to whichever track sustains the strongest midweek velocity. Ariana Grande’s newer single and other lower-odds entries face steeper barriers from established catalog and playlist placement. Traders are pricing the outcome near even odds because weekly aggregates remain sensitive to small shifts in streams before the final lock.
