Bayern Munich's continued dominance as title favorites, reinforced by their record 122-goal 2025-26 campaign and strong summer reinforcements like Nathaniel Brown and Ismael Saibari, leaves the battle for third wide open among the chasing pack. Borussia Dortmund enter as the clearest second-place contenders after last season's 73-point finish and targeted additions of young midfielders such as Konstantinos Karetsas and Giannis Konstantelias, yet new coaches at RB Leipzig and Bayer Leverkusen, combined with squad turnover elsewhere, have flattened expectations across Eintracht Frankfurt, VfB Stuttgart, and others. Preseason results, defensive records, and Champions League commitments further highlight the parity, with early Matchday 1 form offering little separation and keeping implied probabilities tightly clustered.
