Rob Cross enters this Players Championship encounter as the clear favorite, backed by his status as a former world champion and strong recent form that includes a 2026 ProTour title and consistent high-90s averages. His latest outings feature dominant scoring displays, such as a 105.6 average in the opening round and multiple 100-plus averages across recent events, reflecting improved consistency and checkout efficiency. Chris Wickenden, a Challenge Tour winner with limited PDC Tour Card experience, has shown promise in lower-tier events but lacks the depth of results or averaging power to consistently challenge established pros like Cross in this format. The implied probability reflects Cross's superior ranking, head-to-head edge in similar matchups, and overall experience at this level.
