James Wade and Josh Rock meet in the New Zealand Darts Masters quarter-finals, where Wade’s superior experience and recent clinical form—highlighted by a 6-0 whitewash of Kayden Milne—offset Rock’s explosive scoring and prior deep runs in PDC events. The near-even 50.5% implied probability for Wade captures this balance between the veteran’s checkout reliability under pressure and the younger Northern Irish player’s high-ceiling averages and momentum from beating Simon Whitlock. Head-to-head results have favored Wade historically, yet Rock’s recent improvements in maintaining leads and converting doubles keep the contest tight. Late adjustments in doubles accuracy, leg-by-leg momentum swings, or fatigue from the Oceania schedule could shift trader consensus either way.
