This market resolves according to the conference affiliation of the team that wins the College Football Playoff National Championship for the 2026-27 season. The outcome corresponding to the conference of the championship-winning team will resolve "Yes"; all other outcomes will resolve "No". A team's conference is its official conference affiliation for football during the 2026-27 season, as recognized by the NCAA and the College Football Playoff. If the College Football Playoff National Championship for the 2026-27 season is canceled or not played such that no champion is crowned, this market will resolve "Other". The primary resolution source will be official information from the College Football Playoff (https://collegefootballplayoff.com) and the NCAA; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used. The even 50% pricing across major conferences reflects broad trader consensus on a wide-open 2026 race driven by comparable roster depth in the Big Ten and SEC, where teams like Ohio State, Oregon, Indiana, Georgia, Texas, and Alabama enter with elite talent, strong transfer portal activity, and proven coaching. ACC programs such as Miami add further parity through recent form and schedule strength, while Group of Five and other conferences maintain long-shot viability amid expanded playoff access. Preseason uncertainty around injuries, NIL impacts, and head-to-head matchups keeps implied probabilities tightly clustered, underscoring how conference-wide momentum and cross-league competition can shift rapidly once games begin.
