This market will resolve to "Yes" if any player records more than 23 sacks during the 2026-27 NFL regular season, thereby breaking the NFL single-season sacks record. Otherwise, this market will resolve to "No". The NFL single-season sacks record is 23, set by Myles Garrett in 2025. Matching the record exactly will not be sufficient; a player must exceed 23 sacks for this market to resolve to "Yes". Only regular season games count. Playoff games, including Wild Card, Divisional, Conference Championship, and Pro Football Championship games, do not count. A player's total is the total he records across all of his 2026-27 NFL regular season games, including games played for more than one team. Half sacks count as 0.5 toward a player's total, per official NFL scoring. Sacks have been an official NFL statistic since 1982. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is shortened, truncated, or ends early for any reason, the outcome shall be determined using available official data for completed games. If the 2026-27 NFL regular season is cancelled, postponed after January 26, 2027, 11:59 PM ET, or it cannot be determined whether any player exceeded 23 sacks within that timeframe, this market will resolve to "50-50". The resolution source for this market will be official information from the NFL; however, a consensus of credible reporting may also be used.Myles Garrett’s 23-sack record from 2025 stands as a significant barrier entering the 2026 season, with current trader consensus assigning a 55% implied probability that no player surpasses it. Elite edge rushers such as Aidan Hutchinson, Danielle Hunter, and Will Anderson Jr. typically project for 12–14 sacks based on historical per-snap pressure rates and snap counts, while Garrett himself faces a tougher supporting cast and defensive scheme after his trade to the Rams. Factors including opponent game-planning, offensive line upgrades, injury risk over 17 games, and the inherent variance in quarterback pressures limit realistic paths to 23-plus sacks. Recent form from top pass rushers shows consistent but sub-record production, reinforcing the market’s lean toward the record holding.
