The Uruguayan Primera División 2026 season features tight clustering in defensive metrics after roughly 25 matches per side, with Liverpool, Racing, Montevideo Wanderers, Peñarol, and Central Español posting the strongest clean-sheet tallies (typically 9–13) and lowest goals conceded (around 0.8–1.0 per game). This parity, combined with the ongoing Clausura phase and remaining schedule through December, leaves multiple sides with realistic paths to the season-long lead depending on fixture difficulty, home/away splits, and goalkeeping consistency. Recent Clausura results show variability—Liverpool has kept strong early shutouts while others trade results—preventing any single team from separating decisively in trader pricing. The bunched implied probabilities around 42–48% reflect this competitive balance and the potential for late swings in defensive form.
